Stewardship is a way of life in which we do everything for the glory of God. In all we do, we seek ways to share our time, talent and treasure in service and ministry.
27 July - 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“You shall take some first fruits of the various products of the soil which you harvest from the land which the Lord your God gives you, and putting them in a basket,…The priest shall then receive the basket from you and shall set it in front of the altar of the Lord, your God” (Dt. 26:2-4)
The teaching of Stewardship is not new. The Israelites understood that god is the give of all gifts, including fertile land, life, health and wealth. They understood their responsibility for giving of their first fruits. We are challenged to bring our first fruits to the altar of the Lord, as they did
