St. Martin de Porres parish was established on 1962, from within the boundaries of St. Joseph's, Hammonton with Father Jerome M. Prisco as its first pastor. At the beginning, Masses were celebrated in Hammonton High School Auditorium and Fire House #2, White Horse Pike, Hammonton.

The cornerstone for the new church was laid on December 13, 1964, the location at the corner of S. Egg Harbor Road and Park Avenue. On December 17, 1967, the rectory cornerstone was laid at 129 Park Avenue.

St. Martin de Porres mission on Route 206 became St. Anthony of Padua on December 13,1964, which in turn became a parish in August 1965.

Present pastor of St. Martin de Porres is Father Daneri.
