-from Building God's Kingdom: A History of the Diocese of Camden, 1987
The Winslow Crossing Catholic community was begun in June 1972 when Father Francis J. Gramigna was sent to the area to take up a census and serve the needs of the new Winslow Crossing projects. Mass was at first celebrated in homes until September 1972, when Mass was celebrated on weekends in School #2, Winslow Township.
Father Paul P. Onufer became coordinator of the new com- munity in June 1973. In November 1973, the celebration of Mass was moved to School #3 in Sicklerville. In December 1973 the name of the community was changed to Blessed John Neu- mann Community Center. In October 1975, Father James T McCall arrived as administrator.
St. John Neumann was canonized in 1977 and the former community became a parish on June 19, 1977. Father McCall was named pastor in February 1978. In September 1978 the new church was dedicated.
Father Edward B. Rosinski is presently pastor of the parish.
