Sacred Triduum 2010
Triduum simply means “a three-day festival.”(Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil).The parish liturgy(normally on Holy Thursday) of the Lord's Supper, usually celebrated in the evening, opens the Triduum and officially closes the season of Lent. On Tuesday evening, the bishop, surrounded by his priests, blessed the oils that will be used in the coming year throughout the diocese for the anointings at Baptism, Confirmation, the Sacrament of the Sick, and Holy Orders.
